Because of his curse his body age rapidly, So he take souls to refill his lifespan. His primary power is soul absorption also he can access the memories of the victim of the soul he absorbed. His goal is to find infinite source of Souls. He can also shapeshift that makes him formidable and versatile. He can also use fire magic to Create Portals, Giant Fire Cobra, Fire skulls. He is well skilled fighter in combat. His alliance with Quan Chi is deadly with the help of Quan Chi he take down Liu Kang and absorbed his soul also The Deadly Alliance defeated Shao Kahn and Raiden in Original Timeline. Shang Tsung primarily uses soul magic for personal gain and power, while Quan Chi is more focused on manipulating and cantrolling souls for strategic purposes.

Kenshi

Kenshi is a blind swordsman primarily utilizes telekinetic, psychokinetc abilities. His powerful skill allows him to sense opponents by energy and intense hearing ability allows him to anticipate his opponent’s next move. Although he is blind his combat skill is better than normal. He has his Sword Sento a powerful artifact that contain souls of his Ancestors. He can’t directly use any Soul Magic however, his Sword Sento allows him to call his Ancenstors Soul to fight with his side. The Sento Sword is filled with Spiritual Energy, enhancing his abilities and allowing him to perform powerful attacks. His psychokinetc abilities allows him to mind cantrol, mind read, transmission of thoughts besides this, Kenshi pick the opponent up with his telekinetic ability and slam them on the ground, that move taught by ermac in mk orginal timeline.

Nightwolf

Nightwolf is a Shaman and protector of Matoka choosen by Great Spirits. He helps Raiden and Earthrealm warriors to defend Earthrealm. Nightwolf connection of Spiritual world helps him to communicate with spirits he possessed magic granted by Great Spirits. His Weapon is Tomahawk he can also amplify it with green spiritual energy besides this he can deflect attacks from his chest. With his Spiritual Magic he can create artificial green Dagger, Bow and Arrow also he can Summon Clouds and Thunder. In Mortal Kombat 9 He helped Cyber Sub-Zero to stop Soulnado by throwing Noob Saibot into it. He can also summon animal spirits Kiba (The Wolf), Komo (The Bear) and Hana (The Eagle) these spirits fight alongside with him to defeat his enemies.

Quan Chi

Quan Chi is the powerful Sorcerer of netherrealm. His Powers is around Soul Manipulation that makes him different from Shang Tsung. Manipulate souls of others using them to create illusion, mind cantrol, Create portals besides this he uses his powers to deceive and manipulate his enimies. He can reanimate dead ressurect to life. he can summon souls from Netherealm also summon souls of the dead to serve him undead minion. He use his Green magic skull to attack and defense. similar to Shang Tsung he steal souls. He is the responsible of murder Hanzo Hasahi (Scorpion) family and extinction of shirai ryu. He turned bi-han into noob Saibot. In Mortal Kombat 9 He create soulnado to allow Shao Kahn to take all earth’s souls. Also he cantrolled souls of Earthrealm fallen warriors granted by Shao Kahn. In New Timeline Quan Chi create Ermac from soulnado in living forest. Besides this The Deadly Alliance activate soul stealer to empower Dragon King Army. Overall, Quan Chi use his magic to achieve his goals, dominating and cantrol.

Ermac

Ermac is not one being. Ermac is a fusion of soul of Outworld Warriors Created by Shao Kahn in Previous Timelines and Created by Quanchi In Current Timeline. Ermac body is a combination of countless souls therefore, he refers himself as we, our, us instead of I, my, mine. Ermac possessed the power of Telekinesis, Soul Manipulation, lavitation, teleportation, Summon Souls and because of Warrior Souls Ermac is able to fight different martial artist. In original timeline Ermac helps Liu kang by protecting his soul from onaga Also teach Kenshi telekinesis technique. In Current Timeline Ermac body is cantrol by one of his soul “King Jerrod” after defeated by Mileena also, Ermac absorb Sindel’s soul after her death in Mortal Kombat1.

Shao Kahn

Shao Kahn The Conqueror of Outword is also potent soul magic user. He absorb souls to enhance his strength besides this, he has green energy power like Jade, Nightwolf and Johnny Cage that give him Strength, Durability and Speed. In previous Mortal Kombat Timelines he create Ermac with the fusion of Outworld Warriors souls.In Mortal Kombat 9 After the death of Motaro he absorbed all Shang Tsung stolen souls as well as Shang Tsung’s souls and gave it to Sindel to take down all Earthrealm Warriors. Additionally, Shao Kahn uses soulnado in his Fortress to regain his strength. In Mk9 Shao Kahn sent Quan Chi to Earthrealm to create huge soulnado so he can take all Earthrealm souls besides this, he offered Quan Chi all fallen Earthrealm warriors souls. In brief, Shao Kahn’s use of soul magic is determined by a combination of ambition, fear and a desire of absolute power. In the path of conquering of realms he uses Souls to Intensify his powers.

Some Additional soul-based characters are Noob Saibot, Shinnok, Liu kang, Onaga, these characters don’t primarily wield soul-based powers but somehow connected to soul powers.
